Happy Canada Day
HAPPY
CANADA
DAY
Canada's official birthday is today. Lot's of people, including me, took yesterday off as well, making it a four-day weekend. Canada is 141 years old.
Here's a photograph of Canada's Fathers of Confederation (there were no mothers) at the Quebec Conference in 1864. I doubt that the average Canadian could name even one of these men. Try it without peeking at the website. Did you get more than five?

Happy Canada Day.
Which one are you in the photo Larry?
:-)
I got three. :)
Including one I'll bet few others would know: Sir Charles Tupper, only because he comes from my home town.
Not to mention Canada's shortest-serving PM....
Deb
One of them is the only Canadian federal politician to be assassinated.
Are they all sitting on a RUG?? Look at the ground. Where did they find a carpet that large in those days and decide to haul it out of doors. The "Mothers" of confederation were probably unanimously opposed to putting the rug outside...guess who had to whack it with a broom when the photo op was over??? :)
I can name five (not more), although I can't spot them all in the photo.
My five included Sir Charles Tupper, and only Canadian federal politician to be assassinated, Thomas D'Arcy McGee.

Would you find a hot dog offensive?
