"The bad news is that God does not exist. The good news is that you do not need him."
I wonder how long it will take until these signs show up on buses in the major cities of North America? Anyone want to takes bets on when we'll see an atheist bus sign in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, or Calgary?

Let me get this right... they're actually saying that atheism's central message is bad news?.... ??
Well having an all-powerful being who is very concerned for our wellbeing is kind of comforting..
I'd say a few months for these things to appear on Canadian buses.
Wow, the Italians got a whole-bus paint job? Those ain't cheap. Kind of leaves the panel ads in the shade ;-).
As to Larry's question: we're considering it, up in my neck of the woods.
I'll bet they don't have many buses in Nunavut. They could try painting the side of a polar bear.
Well, the atheist bus was met with a wonderful ruckus, because Genoa is the city of mr. Bagnasco, a very rightwinged-conservative-back-to-before-the-Council-cardinal (of is he a bishop?). Anyway, one of the best comment was from a priest very close the our prime minister (berlusconi the thief) who said: "If there's no god, everything is allowed". Does that rings a bell?
@Eamon, the crisis hits the price of ads too... atheists are not the most wealthy of people in Italy.
Cast one vote for Calgary!
I don' t think this is smart. usually, its religion that needs cheesy propaganda on busus and stuff. Atheism just is. makes atherists look like they are another religion with some dumb agenda. I guess some dumb atheists Do have an agenda. Shameful stuff.
Notice I'm not saying this should not be allowed, specially since cheesy religious ads are allowed. I'm just saying I don't like any brainwashin, moralizing ads. It kind of brings us down to theri level
I doubt that bus ads in Italian will be very popular in Canada. German, being one of the two official languages, would be a better choice.
Houston Texas would be a good place for an atheist bus sign.
I was going to make myself a bumper sticker of the pithy rejoinder of Laplace, "Je n'avais pas besoin de cette hypothèse-lá" (I don't have no need of that there hypothesis) but I didn't think anyone would get it.
In order to make the message good news instead of bad news lets change the message, "The bad news is that God does not exist. The good news is that you do not need him."

There is no God. The good news is that you do not need a god.
I would like to see that message on buses in Canadian cities
