The Evils of Darwinism in America

Over on the Discovery Institute website there's an important announcement [John West's Forthcoming Book] ...
Next Fall ISI Books will release CSC associate director Dr. John West's important book, Darwin Day in America: How Our Politics and Culture Have Been Dehumanized in the Name of Science.

Darwin Day in America tells the disturbing story of scientific expertise run amuck, exposing how an ideological interpretation of Darwinian biology and reductionist science have been used to degrade American culture over the past century through their impact on criminal justice, welfare, business, education, and bioethics.
Fascinating. Given that "Darwinism" has been so fiercely resisted in America its success in degrading American culture is all that more remarkable.

I look forward to Dr. West's exposé of European culture where rationalism has been even more successful than in America. I wonder what he thinks of France?

  1. That photo is just too good to be true!

  2. Yawn. Anti-modernism is so last century.

  3. I live in central Illinois where the baseball fans are almost split between St. Louis Cardinal fans and Chicago Cubs fans.

The Chicago Cubs fans just love this photo (which I use on my blog all of the time.....)

  4. Who you callin' a moran?

  5. [IDiot] Bummer! [/IDiot]

Since West's IDea is predebunked, do you think he will stop writing a book about it? Probably not, because that would be a real intelligent design.

  6. If it's about Darwin Day, why is the book not being released on February 12?

That picture was funny before; in the context of this website, it's freakin' hilarious.

  7. Yes, Pharyngula is definitley not the place to get anti-dawkins anger off your chest, haha. I admit that!! It' a dawkins fan comfort zone and PZ has the right to keep his blog that way if he wants. I'm not satying I behaved well, that PZ is a crook or anything like that, though of course I don't agre with his description of me haha.
I just want to make clear that I am a very anti-dawkins evolutionary biologits. Thats' all. No intention of initiating a spiral of muck-raking, animosity or bitterness.

  8. I love it when nobodies like John West try to tell people that the entire scientific community-- you know, the people using evilution to cure cancer and feed the world and such-- is immoral.

Does West even have a job? Does anyone who 'works' for the DI have to wake up before noon? Worthless bums, the lot of 'em.
