Twenty-nine men died on November 10, 1975 when the S.S. Edmund Fitgerald sank in a storm on Lake Superior.

Ian said...: Wow. Haven't heard that song in forever, though bits of it pop into my head every few days. Being six years old and living in Ontario at the time, I think the song - and, as a result, the tragedy itself - had a profound affect on me.
