Oddly enough, I am at this very moment only 150 miles away. But I'm afraid I won't be able to get any closer. So, do you like Giordano's? It's my favorite Chicago pizza. There was one 3 blocks from my apartment when I was at U of C.

Yes, the Art Institute's collection of impressionists is amazing.

DeleteWhile I agree with the tourism suggestions, I'll add the Brookfield Zoo is excellent, the better deep dish places are either Uno's or Due's (downtown locations), Geno's East, or, if you must go to a chain, Lou Malnati's. Finally, you *must* have an italian beef sandwich at either Mr. Beef or Al's; be sure to get it dipped.
