The color coding around India doesn't look correct in the top picture. Unless there's been some mass conversions in Bangladesh I think its been missed out (its a relatively small geographical point but it does have 150 million or so inhabitants, about half the total of Europe or the US so its not that minor in number terms).
Valhar2000, Quite right, my mistake. The figure of 300 million for Europe was stuck in my mind for some reason - I think its the population for the EU, a few member states back. I checked the complete figures for Europe these days and its something of the order of 700 million plus.
