Merry Christmas from the Turtle Creek Chorale

The Turtle Creek Chorale is a men's choir based in Dalls, Texas (USA). Their mission, among other things, is: "Celebrating a positive image of the gay community and partnering with artists and organizations that share our values and mission."

Here's how they celebrate by singing their own special version of the Hallelujah Chorus, from Handel's Messiah. I wish we could have taken our children to see this version instead of the ordinary version.

  1. On the subject of Christmas, is wishing one another a ‘Happy Xmas’ tolerated in this part of the Blogosphere or is it ‘Bah Humbug’ all the way from now until the 25th? Not according to this man! it isn’t!

  2. Not for me either. Christmas for me is a fun holiday, like Halloween, thanksgiving day, and Queen Victoria's birthday. I don't much care—except for historical interest—how the holiday originated. Take Christmas, for example, the fact that it used to be a pagan celebration of the winter solstice doesn't diminish it's current status as another excuse for eating turkey.

  3. Turkey, Christmas pudding, mince pies, you name it. Great! I bet the the ID people won't be able to accuse you of being 'Lightweight' after Christmas!
