Monday's Molecule #15

Name this molecule. You must be specific. We need the correct scientific name.

As usual, there's a connection between Monday's molecule and this Wednesday's Nobel Laureate. Bonus points for guessing Wednesday's Nobel Laureate(s).

  1. Yippee... It's vitamin C - ascorbic acid (reduced form).

So your Nobel prize winner is either Albert Szent-Gyorgyi or Linus Pauling. At least when it comes to vitamin C, I hope it's the former and not the latter :-)

  2. You're right about the molecule but wrong about the Nobel Laureate.

  3. Oh well, if you'd have mentioned that Wednesday's prize winner was for work done on a macromolecule.....
