Should the person who ended up ranked 101 feel insulted?

Plus, I think there is at least one error in the list: Lee Smolin is listed as "United States", but I think he currently lives and works in Waterloo, Ontario. I could easily be wrong. If we do think his status should be changed to include Canada (as well as the USA), we should probably add USA to Niall Ferguson's, since he's at least part-time a professor at Stanford.TheBrummellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08973380652057861796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37148773.post-71687519979772584722008-04-27T16:39:00.000-04:002008-04-27T16:39:00.000-04:00Don Cherry AND his dog Blue clearly top David Petr...Don Cherry AND his dog Blue clearly top David Petraeus on the list of 100 intellectuals...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37148773.post-28672810900113579922008-04-27T02:52:00.000-04:002008-04-27T02:52:00.000-04:00Amir Attaran.I don't know if he actually deserves ...Amir Attaran.

I don't know if he actually deserves to be on the list. But I didn't even recognize too many people on it in the first place.

I did know about Lomborg and Friedman and Krugman. I don't think they deserve to be on the list. I'm sure they are very smart, and appear often in public, but they do not do enough actual respected science or management to back up their voices. Certainly Attaran does much research, and often voices a very thoughtful and forceful opinion to a mass audience.

////////

Making a Canadian list would be fun.crfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10726414637021391906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37148773.post-17299554100934202162008-04-26T03:33:00.000-04:002008-04-26T03:33:00.000-04:00Stephen Hawking?Stephen Hawking?Sigmundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00262375488263086844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37148773.post-14952223281387778492008-04-25T22:12:00.000-04:002008-04-25T22:12:00.000-04:00Did they run a parallel list of sycophants, and co...Did they run a parallel list of sycophants, and confused the lists since they included David Petraeus?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04561368686015863988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37148773.post-52662356260112576892008-04-25T16:11:00.000-04:002008-04-25T16:11:00.000-04:00James Randi, another Canadian-born US citizen.James Randi, another Canadian-born US citizen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
