The Burden of Proof

Hemant Mehta of Friendly Atheist posted this video a few weeks ago: When It Comes to God’s Existence, Who Has the Burden of Proof.

It's quite good. I think it deserves more atrention so I'm reposting it here. It's relevant to the discussions about Elliott Sober and the value of philosophy. Thanks Hemant!

  1. Very good blog post I love your site keep up the great posts,Strolling with a skeptical biochemist,Thanks

  2. Excellent video such clarity of thought. It was made by the British artist QualiaSoup. I intend to look at more of his videos after seeing this one.

  3. I'm afraid that atheists aren't going to get away with rigging this "burden of proof" issue to their advantage. Their positions and arguments contain speculations that are, by no means, obvious or more intuitively acceptable.

The burden of proof rests, equally, on anyone making any kind of an assertion.

I'm certainly not going to let atheists impose a double standard on me that they attempt to absolve themselves from.
