David Berlinksi Prays for Me!!!!

Over at Evolution News & Views, Casey Luskin is ranting again about not getting no respect [The Uncivil Style of Intelligent Design Critics]. While checking out recent postings on that site to see whether the evil Darwinists were being treated respectfully, I came across a post by David Berlinski on Phillip Johnson. Imagine my surprise when I read this ....
At the Discovery Institute we often offer an inter-faith Prayer of Thanksgiving to the Almighty for the likes of P.Z. Myers, Larry Moran, Barbara Forrest, Rob Pennock and Jeffrey Shallit.
Thank-you to all the inmates at the institute. I really appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Next time, could you ask him to send money?

So they've gone from denying that ID has anything whatsoever to do with religion to bragging about their prayer sessions?

I guess, in return, you'll have to think for him.

Be gentle though, critical thinking is a foreign concept for the IDiots.

Not only is this more evidence of the collapse of the DI's pretense of being anything other than a religious institution, it's also the collapse of David Berlinski's personal pretensions of being an 'agnostic'. Offering up prayers to the Almighty, whether "inter-faith" or not, is a strange thing for an agnostic to do.

Alas, Berlinski's unendurable pomposity and overweening self-regard are still indisputable.

Bad news on the money front Larry, don't wait for a check in the mail.

As George Carlin put it:

But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good bullshit story. Holy Shit!

Did Berlinski put in a smiley for the irony-challenged, like the first two commenters? Obviously it wasn't intended seriously. He only meant that creationists -- oops, sorry, I meant cdesign proponentsists, nothing to do with creationism -- are fortunate in their enemies. You might also ask whether he really intended the subtext seriously, or at least whether he really believes it.

Since Berlinski is praying for you, perhaps you could offer to think for him.
