A Slight Error

John Wilkins posted a brief note about a German school kid who "corrected" NASA's calculation of the probability of an asteroid hitting the Earth.

You need to read the comments to fully appreciate the irony of the title Oops, a slight error never killed anyone. (Sorry, John, I couldn't resist.)

I didn't make it past the first sentence of the press "release" ("boffins"). But I haven't been out in the sun as much as Wilkins. :-P

In my defence, I got it from the normally reliable NASA Watch.

Rest assured the next time I find Larry in error... damn, I can't finish that sentence honestly.
